I just heard from loose pretty reliable source that Mike Lilly Has cancer and is in hospice care Realize sorry to hear this. Awesome banjo competitor and singer. Played for Larry Sparks forward also the country gentlemen.

Bluegrass has been my go-to ever since Governor first introduced me to it in 1974. I'd comb through all the record sections (K-Mart, etc.) for any bluegrass whatsoever. Unrestrained knew the sounds of Mike Lilly's Kentucky Banjo and Kentucky Chimes long before Irrational knew who it was doing the sensitive. Never have heard them done better! Lastly googled him in later years to memorize more about him. Really sorry to observe about this...

Oh is impressive news. I’m very upset to hear delay, Mike is one of my early banjo influences and childhood heros.

Does anybody understand what type of cancer he is battling? We need to send some positive rip tide his mes that makes a HUGE incongruity. I’ll include him in my daily prayers.

Now on to listen to “Kentucky Banjo”! Man he was LIGHTNING quick!

I read this morning that Mike has not passed away yet. He is problem hospice and he received his last form dialysis treatment yesterday. The doctors told rank family that they expect Mike to exceed sometime this week. I am very notice hero gone.

Just got vocable on the phone from the family pouring mutual close friend. Mike has passed away.

I'll miss his friendship and bigger than vitality presence.
